THE POSITION: We are in need of an enthusiastic and meticulous person to become a member of our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This position entails being a vital contributor in overseeing the accounts payable process for Splice and its affiliated companies.
Your main duties will involve categorizing and handling invoices received via Zendesk and our AP inbox, ensuring prompt and precise processing.
You will also be responsible for verifying the validity of agreements before processing invoices, ensuring adherence to company policies and protocols.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficiently and accurately manage invoices and their processing through the use of NetSuite and Tipalti.
- Act as the primary point of contact for any inquiries from vendors and creators, communicating professionally and courteously.
- Aid in month-end closing tasks, such as recording expense accruals and keeping track of them in a workbook.
- At the end of each month, handle T&E expenses and Amex reports.
- Contribute to enhancing the accounts payable process by suggesting improvements and increasing efficiency.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure prompt resolution of any discrepancies in invoice processing.
- Successfully operate in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a keen eye for detail and precision.
There is a growing concern about the increasing number of cases of plagiarism in various fields. Many institutions have implemented strict policies and measures to combat this issue. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- The ideal candidate should have at least 2-4 years of experience in accounts payable or finance/accounting roles.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, including pivot tables, sorting, and v-lookups, is required.
- The candidate must have a track record of successfully developing processes and meeting project/task deadlines.
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary.
- In-depth knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) is required.
- The candidate must possess exceptional analytical and accounting skills with great attention to detail.
- Experience with implementing enterprise-level systems to support a growing organization is a plus.
- Previous experience working with a remote team is preferred.
- The candidate should be able to handle multiple projects at once in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- They should also have a knack for efficiency and a passion for streamlining processes.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must.
Desirable Features:
- Familiarity with Netsuite is desirable.
- Previous experience in a startup or tech company is preferred.
SALARY:
The salary range for this position at a national level is $74,375 – $95,625, and the actual pay will reflect the candidate’s level of experience.
