In the role of a Travel Counselor, you will become a part of our proficient remote team, delivering exceptional assistance to our corporate clients.

A Typical Day’s Activities of a Travel Counselor
- Provide guidance and organize transportation for corporate clients traveling for business purposes, including both individual and group arrangements.
- Perform analysis and investigation on potential travel choices, and proactively predict the needs of travelers in order to promote additional services.
- Organize and reserve both domestic and international corporate trips, of varying levels of difficulty, for air, ground transportation, train, and lodging.
- Leverage Global Distribution Systems through Sabre.
- To guarantee adherence to the travel policy, service provider policies, and regulatory requirements agreed upon by customers.
- Implement positive techniques for telephone customer service and follow through with any special requests made by customers.
- Work together with your team to offer coaching, guidance, and positive criticism in order to enhance the quality of service.

Our Search Criteria for Travel Counselor Position
- With over 5 years of experience in corporate travel, I have extensive knowledge in various aspects such as fares, ticketing, car rental, hotel accommodations, air travel, and rail transportation for both domestic and international trips.
- Dedication to delivering exceptional client service, including anticipating needs proactively.
- Proficiency in Sabre, the native GDS (Global Distribution System).
- Communication in a professional setting, both written and verbal.
- Focus on specifics
- Demonstrate honesty, and protect personal information of travelers.
- Efficiently addressing customer concerns either on one’s own or in collaboration with suppliers.
- Collaboration and willingness to receive feedback are crucial for success.
The Traveler Care unit operates 24/7 with designated colleagues for the night shift. It is important to be adaptable and ready to work afternoon shifts (12-8pm).
The salary range for this position (Travel) Counselor in the US is between $17.00 and $29.00 per hour. This range is inclusive of the hourly pay that GBT plans to offer for the job. The actual wage rate will be determined by various factors such as the level of responsibility and difficulty of the job, as well as the relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location of the successful candidate.
